FreespanTM
technology is designed to support
an advance and robust wireless audio system with following
features:
-
High fidelity true bit exact CD quality audio data delivery
system
- Excellent Coexistence in 2.4Ghz
environment
- Low power architecture with advanced
power management features
- Support SPDIF Transmission
- Low audio latency that support AV
application
- Allow One to Many Transmission
- Small form factor
Being the one of the
pioneers in wireless digital audio since 1999,
FreeSystems had been awarded numerous patents that have been
incorporated
into our
FreespanTM
technology. Some of
these are :-
- With the advanced
Forward Error Correction algorithm,
FreespanTM
wireless
transmission is capable of making correction on the fly and
allows seamless antenna switching within the data packet
without being data lost.
This technique is being covered
under FreeSystems US patents no. US6510182, US6614849,
US6671325 and US6741659.
-
Advanced Antenna Diversity (US patents
no. US7236549) is another key technique to maintain QOS for
audio streaming especially for wireless headphone
application where multipath/fading is a key concern.
With
FreespanTM
innovative technique, the antenna can be switched
instantaneously at anytime of the transmission data packet
or at every data frame boundary.
-
Unlike WIFI transmission,
FreespanTM
employs
a narrow band (6Mhz), low RF power system where it can
coexist with wireless devices especially WIFI. FreeSystems
developed sniffer algorithm that detect presence of WIFI
router and automatically avoid clashing of RF channel with
WIFI during initial startup. In case of fixed
frequency interference during audio transmission,
FreespanTM
algorithm will find next best RF
channel and make a seamless switch over to clean RF channel
to continue the
audio transmission.
-
To counter Frequency Hopping device transmission
interference, a time diversity algorithm (US
patents Appln no. 20070104248, 20070104249, 20070104285) was
developed and incorporated into
FreespanTM
technology. With this algorithm, it enables a reliable
unlimited nodes broadcast transmission without need of
feedback signal.
Riding on these key
techniques, FreeSystems has further developed applications that
allow wireless audio streaming with PAN (Pico Area Network)
communication, wireless audio relay capability and other
innovative solutions that we work closely with our customers to
realize their applications.
